I’m so unsure of my footing, Lord,
with every step I tread.
I try so hard to see the path
that You have laid ahead,
but I’ve been looking with my eyes
instead of with my heart…
and when I try to take control,
everything just falls apart.
Alone I stumble, trip, and fall,
I’m blind to the plans You’ve made for me,
completely helpless without You, Lord,
for You’re the only one who sees
what is to come,
what hasn’t passed,
what happens first,
and what comes last.
So,Abba, please take my trembling hands…
I’m putting all my trust in You;
no matter how broken or winding my path
Your endless love will see me through.
